Time flies when you procrastinate…

Since July, I have gone skydiving and fed and trained dolphins in San Diego. It was great fun! I am ready to do it again.

I have also had a huge family reunion in Portugal! 24 members of the Marques Pereira household gathered together for a day of reminiscing and catching up! It was wonderful to see people I haven’t seen in 20 years and to meet new members that I will keep in touch with. I had a great time and have over 300 pictures to prove it.

Now I am looking forward to Christmas. Shopping and wrapping and getting together with friends, I love this time of year! We even went to the Santa Claus parade…it was good but a little cold.

If you don’t hear from me for a while, I am purging my room (cleaning) to get it ready for renovations next year - ceiling needs to be done, painting and new furniture…yikes! But it’s time…nothing’s been done in the room for about 10 years now..or longer.

This winter, I am looking forward to working on my photo albums, enjoying the outdoors again and catching up on some good movies. How about you?

I will be updating my online photo album too so be sure to check it often.

Happy Holidays

I wanted to swim with the dolphins (still on the list) but they were booked up for the week I am down matter feeding them is just as good!

Country Music

I forgot how much I like country music. Just watching Jaydee Bixby on Canadian Idol reminded me how much fun country music is.

My favorites country songs of all time are:

John Michael Montgomery - Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident)
Sawyer Brown - (This Thing Called) Wantin’ And Havin’ It All
Shania Twain - Any Man of Mine

I remember them coming out at the same time and I would watch the videos over and over and over again. Not only were the songs great but the videos were so much fun to watch and sing along to!

I found one video on Youtube. If anyone can find other vides, please let me know. (Shania Twain - Any Man of Mine)

Skydiving in 2007

Hi everyone,

I am planning to go skydiving in July/August. It is something that I have always wanted to do for years and years and years and, for whatever reason, I have not been able to go.

Well I am going to be 35 this year and refuse to put this off any longer! No opportunity wasted!

I’m looking for anyone who would like to join me.

There are two clubs we can go to.

Parachute School of Toronto - location Baldwin Airport - just 40 minutes north of Toronto, south of Lake Simcoe on Highway 4.
Solo: $220 - group discount: 5% for 5-9 jumpers, 10% for 10-14
Tandem: $299

Skydive Swoop - Dundas, Ontario - 4.5km West of Highway #6
Solo: $203
Tandem: $279

Let me know if you are interested and we can plan a day to go!

You can write here on Facebook or email me separately at

Happy Jumping

I’m on Facebook…come over to the dark side

Everyone I know is on Facebook…I signed up and then people started asking me to join my Facebook…people I hadn’t heard from in a long time..even my cousins were on Facebook…so why not join me?

Join the masses…

Heroes returns on September 24, 2007

Heroes count down clock..

Only 76 more days till Heroes returns!

I liked the way Heroes ended but was a little disappointed with the way Sylar died so quickly..there should have been a huge sword fight!..after all that….

The most important thing is that Hiro is coming back….I think…

Ever find you don’t have time to do the things you really want to to? Like, for example, updating this site with all the wonderful pictures I took last year. I HAVE been working on the pictures but I think I have learned my lesson - keep pictures to a minimum and don’t let Rui near the digital camera!

I’ve gone through 300 pictures form various bbqs/birthdays and am still trying to narrow it down to a more respectable number. Anyway, I am still working on it, never fear. I have updated the photos for New York 2006 so feel free to look at those while waiting for the other pictures. :)
